At Appalachian Lumber we
specialize in architectural grades of
plank flooring. Plank
floors are traditionally made out of a higher grade of
lumber than the commodity strip flooring. This allows us
to attain the widths and lengths we desire in our
flooring
products.
Our boards are 3/4" and are unfinished. The lumber used
for the flooring is kiln dried to approximately 8%
moisture content. The widths of our flooring range from
3" to 11" face width, with a 3"-4"-5" pattern being our
standard average. Lengths vary depending on species from
around 4' to over 8'. Lengths will range from 1' to 16'.
All our products, flooring and paneling, are available
in square edge or v-joint. The product is tongue and
groove and end matched for easy installation, sold by
the square foot and relief plowed on the bottom of the
board for stabilization. The waste factor on standard
products with common installation is 0 to 2%.
Our floors are widely used in fine homes across the
country continue to be applauded by architects,
designers, contractors and homeowners for their quality
and appearance.
